Hi there,
I uninstalled the game and tried to install the new patch yet I get the attached error. How can I remove it? What is the workaround then to reinstall the game?

Hi. This is answered on the Help page:
I get a "mss32.dll is missing" error during installation, and I can't install UP1.5.

Does it solve your problem?

UP1.5 doesn't install the game itself, and mss32.dll is one of the core game files that should already exist in the game directory. This is why the UP1.5 installer returns an error when it's missing.
