Adding Unique Units

So I created a new unit which works perfectly fine in the game, until I try to make it a unique unit. It gives the following error.

I noticed if I try to make any other vanilla unit unique (ex. made the heavy infantry unique), it gives the same error. Is there another file somewhere that I have to change in order to add additional unique units?

That's strange. I believe other EE2 mods (Realistic Mod, EE4) use many unique units (units different for each civilization). Are you sure that all text entries you add are available in files?

available in files? Like the file has been added to dbunitfiles? If so yeah. Like I said, the unit works if it hasn't been assigned to a civilization. Also, it only crashed if I use the civilization the unit is assigned to. I don't know if it's relevant, but i'm using the developer version of EE2 1.5, and the install i have is from GOG Games

Can you maybe try how it's done in EE4 mod? You'd then be able to search in EE2X_db.zip for the unit type and all files it has edited for this unit.

I looked through EE4, couldn't see anything different than how I did it. Another thing is the unique unit will load in the map editor, but not in skirmish. So maybe it's something to do with skirmish settings. (Update) Ok so for some reason it this isn't a problem with Art of Supremacy, just Empire Earth 2

Interesting. Maybe that's the reason all these mods are AOS-only.

Well now I know lol
