Hello, in the past I have received a lot of help creating mods.

I would like to modify the following:

-The sabotage and contamination effect lasts longer. I already modified the effects file per area, increased the time, but it did not change the game.

-Destroyed bodies and units remain longer and do not disappear as quickly, I have not found where it is modified.

In Unofficial Patch 1.6, some files are differently used.

For example, sabotage and some other effects are in:
zips\dbareaeffects_unittype.ddf

and this file is read by both (EE2 and EE2: AOS), so you don't need to modify multiple files.

Of course this file will be overwritten with minor updates of UP1.6, so you need to re-apply changes (but its better not to overwrite the file after updates, or you might lose fixes).

For dead bodies I don't remember now, but maybe check: viewtopic.php?t=5671

You might like the Debug Console if you're a modder, because it allows you to tweak a lot of variables.

I believe the timer is on seconds as well.

Btw, why do you want to extend the spy's effects? Personally, I feel like they are good as they are.

I think the spy should be a terrifying unit.
In my game, sabotage lasts a very long time, and contamination spreads among citizens like a virus.

I think they are terrifying as they are but I agree 100%, they add a dimension that not many RTSs have.
