How to retrieve the Random Seed of the game you played in Empire Earth II?

Post by Dr.MonaLisa »

How to retrieve the Random Seed of the game you played in Empire Earth II and Empire Earth II: The Art of Supremacy?

This guide will show you how to find out which Map Random Seed was used in the game you played. Obviously it requires the newest version of Unofficial Patch 1.5 to be installed.

MULTIPLAYER:

Finding the Random Seed from the Multiplayer game you played is relatively easy with EE2.eu Multiplayer Services.

1. Go to the Ministry of Game Affairs: Multiplayer Rating System Log, created by Dr.MonaLisa web page.
2. Find the game you played. You can use the "Search" field for that, and type your EE2.eu Lobby nickname.
3. The estimated Random Seed (gathered from all players in game) is shown in the game description.

SINGLEPLAYER:

Since 16.04.2023 it's possible to retrieve the Random Seed from the game you're currently playing (or the game save that you loaded). It still requires the working Internet connection as this information is gathered from the EE2.eu KeepAlive database.

1. Start the game, or load the game save.
2. Click on the "Need any help? Got a question? Click here to open chat!" button in order to open the Support Chat.
3. Make sure that the "Name" field contains your nickname, and then type the following command in the "Message" field (press ENTER):
/RandomSeed
4. Try the Random Seeds that were listed by starting a new game, using the map of the same size as in your previous game.
