Building limit modding question
How do I mod building limits in territories?
I saw it was asked previously but, I do not see territory.ddf in either zips or zips_ee2x, I run 1.0 of Empire Earth II Art of Supremacy

Re: Building limit modding question
Why would you use ver. 1.0 in 2019?

Re: Building limit modding question
Because I've modded it, alot, and 1.5 would have to be remodded, I just can't seem to find the territory.ddf..
Why wouldn't I use 1.0? all I noticed patches really do is screw up previous mods, and in some cases, add bulk to the files when they didn't even need it...

Re: Building limit modding question
On unchanged files structure, this file is in: zips_ee2x\EE2X_db.zip\EE2X_db\Simulation\territory.ddf
Still, it's a nonsense to play without UP1.5. You're losing native screen resolution support and directX9 which improves performances.
Developers version has unchanged files structure, so is compatible with all other mods. Give it a try.

Thank you very much, and it's under zips_ee2x\EE2X_db.zip\EE2X_db\Simulation\misc\territory.ddf for anyone else in need
I'll think about it, but last time i did, me and a friend were always mismatched..(we both had 1.5)

Impossible. Developers version doesn't auto-update. It was designed especially for different mods. Perhaps you tried the full 1.5 version.GeneralSturnn wrote: ↑03 Feb 2019, 22:29 I'll think about it, but last time i did, me and a friend were always mismatched..(we both had 1.5)
All you need to do is to unpack the .zip archive from https://ee2.eu/patch/developers to your mod folder. After that all "most important" performance changes will be available in game, (and even a Multiplayer Lobby). Just make a backup of your folder and try it.

Re: Building limit modding question
No, you need to download the .zip file from https://ee2.eu/patch/developers
After that you need to copy all files and folders from that archive and paste to a folder where your EE2 + Your Mod are installed.
The Developers version keeps the original files structure. Only few files are modified to add more population/citizens/ceasefire/map size settings in game.
It's always good to try on the Backup copy of your mod folder first, then in case of issues you can easily revert back.
Once again, please remember that ALL files from the Developers version archive need to be unpacked. You can't skip folders which you think are "not important", because it's all synchronized to work correctly. In UP1.5 the Launcher does most of the work.
