RULES of the Polls

The RULES of the Polls in the "New Empire Earth II Government" subforum.


1. Amending Acts / Law Polls

a) Every poll has minimum 3 poll options with tags:
- [Positive vote] - a single vote counts as: +1
- [Negative vote] - a single vote counts as: -1
- [Neutral vote] - a single vote counts as: 0

b) Polls time:
- Every poll must be open for at least 14 days.
- The poll should be closed not earlier than 1 day before the Act applies.
(Every Act / Amending Act has got an information when become effective)

c) The Act will be instantly accepted only if:
- The poll has minimum 5 [Positive votes].
- The poll has minimum 10 votes, including: [Positive votes], [Negative votes] and [Neutral votes].
- The poll has more than 60% of [Positive votes] from: [Positive votes] and [Negative votes]. The [Neutral votes] score doesn't count.

d) The Act will be sent to the "Crisis Staff of Empire Earth II" if:
- The poll has minimum 5 [Positive votes].
- The poll has 50% or more of [Positive votes] from: [Positive votes] and [Negative votes]. The [Neutral votes] score doesn't count.
- The new poll will be created in the "Crisis Staff of Empire Earth II" subforum.
- The members of "Crisis Staff" will vote and decide if the Act should be accepted or not.
- The Crisis Staff poll will be open for at least 3 days.
- If the Crisis Staff poll has more than 50% of positive votes - the Act will be accepted.
- The Act will apply 1 day after the Crisis Staff poll is closed, and the date in the Act will be changed.

e) Other rules:
- Every poll has the "Vote cancelling allowed" option checked, so everybody may cancel their choice and vote again (of course if the poll hasn't been already closed).


2. Other Polls

a) Every poll must have:
- Minimum 2 poll options.
- Detailed question.

b) Polls time:
- Every poll must be open for at least 7 days.

c) Polls score:
- If a poll option has the tag: [Neutral vote] - the option is not counted to the final score.
- If the poll has options with tags: [Positive vote], [Negative vote], [Neutral vote] - the [Positive vote] option wins if:
* The poll has more than 50% of [Positive votes] from: [Positive votes] and [Negative votes]. The [Neutral votes] score doesn't count.
- If the poll has no tags described above - a poll option with the biggest amount of votes wins.

d) Other rules:
- Every poll has the "Vote cancelling allowed" option checked, so everybody may cancel their choice and vote again (of course if the poll hasn't been already closed).
- If any Minister who works in the Ministry of Game Affairs decide to create a poll to a topic - the poll score has no effect for the final decision of the selected Department. Of course the Minister may suggest with the poll score, but his decision may be different.
