Is there any way to mod the duration of the crowns? So the effect of the crown would last for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 1hr etc?

Yes, I think it's the following configuration variable: Where 300 is time (in seconds).

You can try to put this command to:
EE2: myconfig.cfg
AOS: myconfig_EE2X.cfg

and see what happens.
