--------- Introduction ---------

The devastating attack at Pearl Harbor left the United States struggling to reestablish a military presence in the Pacific. America faced battle-hardened Japanese forces which had been operating with relative impunity. But the "sleeping giant" soon awoke. The United States - along with British, Australians, and New Zealanders - began a relentless effort to push the Japanese back to their home shores. Lead the Allied forces all the way from the Battle of Midway to the brutal sands of Iwo Jima.

---------- Statistics --------------

This Thread is around my work to a Pacific Campaign for EE2 The art of Supremacy. She is in: DELEVOPMENT

Maps: 2 %
Scripts: 0 %
Voiceover: 100 %
Text: 90 %
Pictars: 0 %
Campaign Integration: 0 %
In UP 1.5: No

--------- Words from the Developer -------------

How the Beginning Text say, you play as the American pacific army and fight against the imperial Japanese Army. The Campaign itself will play in the tropic climatic zone and will have many islands and even more oceanwater. In all Missions you have, not like in the original EE2 Campaigns, a lot of units but not a great Base or ressources. The USA had at the WW2 a Europe first policy. So you musst fight with thas, what you in the Pacific have, and you cant rush with a great Army. ;)

------ Design Philosophy -----------

From the design here, the campaign will use more and effectively the ee2 scripts system. The original campaigns have as storytelling element many, many bored text boxes. I will use more ingamemovies, cameras and sounds. The script will have more effects and surprises, then storytelling is very important for me, so that this is the first point in the campaing design. I think, that a great part from the ee2 user has, forgotten the story from the original ee2 campaign. So, at this part i will make it better.

The Campaign is not a little Work and i have written with Mona over this and at the end, it whas clearly, that there must have a thread to talking and testing this work. Im a littel and strange ee2 fan. It may take some time until it's done. So please give me that time and wait the months or the year. I think, the best thing is it, to finish the campaign, mission for mission. Then to share a finished single mission with a minor update, and to integrate this stuff at the end as full campaign in the Play Campaign Menu.

All my thanks going to Dr. MonaLisa. With his Work from the Patch is it in many things easier to create maps and scripts. I hold my worth. The Scenarios will not has many MB. :lol: In the follow time, i will write over my work and experience with the EE2 Editor. Maybe it will interesting any people.

Good News. I have succeeded, that the Briefing from the Scenario Info panel has now a Voice Over like in EE1. It's really simple but its wonderful for the scenario atmosphere.

How it work:

Code: Select all

INITIALIZATION

	// To stop Shell_music.mp3
 	ToggleStreamingMusic(false);

	//Play a .mp3 file, that not become stopped from user interface menus.
	PlayUnpausableVoiceOver("pacific1_introduction.mp3");

END_INITIALIZATION
Greetings,
Loewenherz
