Kids in america...
When ever I walk into a school here, where I live... It's unbearable. Youth here in America think being Gangster is cool, as-well as Ghetto. So, everytime you turn around, you will hear repeative sentences of kids trying to intimidate other kids with swearing, threat of violence, and wierd twisting head motions. Some really common sentences used are "Boy, you don't know me, you don' t know what i can be doin to you" Or, improper English on purpose, such as "You be trippin' I don't know who you be thinkin you is..." Keep in mind, these children have the education to talk proper English, but decide to talk like this because it's considered 'Cool.' They've developed Rap music like it is today, (in my opinion, unbearable.) I guess Rap inspires them, because in Rap-songs, if you ever listen to them that's pretty much how they would act, or how they process their thoughts, and how they talk etc. Kids hang our in racial groups like you see in movies involving gangs, prison etc. They know it to, as they'll pick on other races, such as all Mexicans will hang out, pick on the White kids. While the African-American kids will pick on the Mexicans. Calling each other Racial-Slurs as well..

This is why everyday, I think to myself..

I'm surrounded by idiots.

P.S
I don't know where this came from, just felt like saying it. ;3

Hmmm... Very creative subject.
I don't know how it is in the US schools, but you're probably right.

For example I'm swearing too... sometimes, when I'm angry. But I don't do it because it's "cool" - I do it when I'm pissed off, etc.
I don't know why kids want to act like gangsters, but I think it's because of the computer games, like: GTA serie, Mafia II.

If we talk about USA, then most of people there are 'followers'. That means they almost never decide, they do everything what their friends do.
Exactly same is with iPhone. Apple company sucks, their smartphones (like iPhone 5 now), are ~2.5X worse than other smartphones for less price. But of course everyone buys it, because "everyone has it". Let's compare Samsung Galaxy S3 to the new iPhone 5. It has 2X better processor, better screen resolution, better camera, better Operation system which allows you to personalize more... But of course, Apple fans will insult all users with better smartphones, because they still think "iPhone is better" while this mark just sucks now. Nothing new, nothing better. Wait... what did Apple say on the presentation? "The new iPhone can take spectacular panoramic photos!". WOW, awesome! They just didn't note it was available since 2008 in the other, Android devices. Of course Apple fans thinks that "Apple invented it", and they'll call you "copycat" when they'll see feature like this in the other devices. Sick.

Yeah I completely agree with the Video games accusation, and the the phone statement, along with the rap one.

Kids will say that Video games don't affect them in real-life, but I've tried playing games such a GTA, and I've noticed that I will start cursing more than usual, my behavior is rather more rude than usual etc.

All kids in america follow Rap, which I don't understand. All the songs consist of here involve Blood,Sex,Money,Whores,Strippers,Drugs, Gangsters.. Etc.. And kids act Obnoxious, and argue blinded by ignorance. I just can't stand it. They think based on their built ego, along with the built up ego with the rap society.

The USA consists of both good and bad features. Goods numbers are slowly lowering, and bad slowly going up.

Interesting all what you wrote. And yeah, I agree with you, it must be extremely horrible is being surrounded by idiots. However, I would like to say somethings to you about my country then. Just to make you reflect a little about yours.

Here in Brazil, our called public schools consist of having a bunch of impolite students and most part of them are from the "favelas"; you must have heard about that: there are places where needy people build to live without paying any rate for staying at it and it is from there where most part of criminals, traffickers and perpetrators emerge and come up. Therefore we can conclude that... well... our schools aren't good here, teachers are obligate to pass everyone or they're going to be murdered (not to mention the fact they aren't good in teaching at all), students fight with students each other every day and once in a while you can see it on streets when you're passing with your car or walking naturally near to it. Police? you must wonder... LOL if you ask it for me, you'll make me laugh a lot...They're wayyyyy corrupt and disonest here, even worse than the own criminals themselves. I'll say it to let you know, our police certainly catch the criminals... no doubt. I must confess it to you. Nevertheless, what do they do then? they simply say to the criminal: " Gimme money and I let you be free" and then everyone has to be careful or you know what might probably happen. Of course that normal and simple people don't know that because they don't have any decent education and also because they hide it. I only know because I knew a policeman who told me that. Ah, sincerely every time I remind that I got upset and angry at the same time...

Ah, another thing, people here look at you aside and if you go to talk anything, ask for information or related to any normal person, they'll certainly ignore you, because they're extremely suspicious with strangers. To be exact, you don't even need to ask or talk to know... you can realize it for the manner as they walk and run from you. Obviously that, those who has got education doesn't do that... they're more trustfull.

Well, we don't have any kind of war, I know. But we have an internal war... yeah... we have got a mafia here too. A traffic mafia in this case. Do you know an organization called "FARCS"? they're here too, not only in Colombia. However, no one knows. Only ABIN(our secret intelligent organization) and some persons who study about it.

Girls... they'd better don't wear a dress or skirt in any time of the day...but principally at nights, or you must imagine what would most likely happen.

And the governament... well, I think interesting how you guys claim about your politicals and statesmen... I must agree that they must not be perfect... I know and they will never be. But at least there they do something. Here how do they think? The president and their "allied" ( from his political faction) give food for needy persons and it seems to be nice at first... but in fact they're just letting them keep "dumb". They do not work or study... and receive a salary of 600 R$(it's 300 in your currency I guess). It's sufficient to convince them to vote to the president in the next ellections.

Basically, the principal interest of our governament is to maintain the population without working and just voting for them and without investing in any form of education... principally professions and courses like philosophy and law... they don't want to make philosophers or good lawyers... or they're probably going to fall down by them. Our public universities are extremely good otherwise. But unfortunately, as our governament doesn't mind with our students... most part of them go to Europe and U.S.A and our universities stay in the 120rd position in the rank... Just to let you know... 80% of scientists and philosophy students of here go to the U.S universities.

Well, basically thats it... I can't do anything now... I'm nothing here. But certainly I'm not going to live here when I finish my college.

Oh God... I must live here because I did something bad in my past life, probably...

Now, I guess the things will run a little better to your side.

Oh my God. When I read the Lukwer's post I imagine a third-world country... But it's just impossible, because everyone in News says, Brazil has a great, powerfull economy. Also look at the cities in Brazil... The skyscrapers looks very well, like in rich, urban country.
That's why nobody exactly knows what happens in the other countries, until somebody from this country tells about it.
Ah, another thing, people here look at you aside and if you go to talk anything, ask for information or related to any normal person, they'll certainly ignore you, because they're extremely suspicious with strangers. To be exact, you don't even need to ask or talk to know...
That's terrible. I very often ask a random people about the time, road, etc. (well, I'm using navigation, and I've clock in the mobile, but it's just example), and I cannot imagine, how somebody could ignore me... If somebody ignored my question I would curl up and die. Well, maybe I don't look like a gangster, but probably people wouldn't ignore a question of a person who looks like a gangster too. lol.

I'll write something more further. Now I'm wondering what the creator of the topic (PurpleBlues) will answer to lukwer's post.

Lol, we are a third-world country. The only difference is that here we have an immerse economy(7rd mondial GDP) And the tendency is only increase and develop... because Brazil is among the BRIC(Brazil-Russia-India-China: the four promising countries). Yeah, I must confess, we have got a plenty of good cities here, as such São Paulo. Brazilia, for instance, is the capital of Brazil and it looks like a first-world city, simply amazing.

However, let's see... people here are extremely egoistics and jealous in a way and this is where we find the central problem of it all. People here don't have any interest in studying because there are jobs available everywhere... authorities abuse of their power, mainly policemen and everyone here laughs when one clown becomes a political -.- And our burocracy is one of the worst of the world.

Also, if you're American, I have an advice for you: do not say you're American!!! nobody here, in general, likes americans...(principally if you're a WASP) if you're american, you're an arrogant and idiot for sure who wants to control all the world LOL. On the other hand, people here love europeans, because at schools we only study about history of european's countries, from Scandinavia and United kingdom to Russia and East European countries.

But still, I see that in Europe everyone can at least understand English... In Brazil, only some persons can understand English and speak fluently... most part don't even know the difference between IS and ARE... Also, any school here, being public or private, only teach how to read in English; they never teach how to write and or speak it. That's why sometimes you see some brazilian guy talking a bad English...

@Mona

Sure thing it isn't with everybody. Clever persons, for exemple, certainly are going to talk to you or answer to your questions normally and it isn't everywhere people are bad. In some places, you can walk as if you were in your home.
