Hi,
great work on the new lobby!
1. I have issues with the game randomly freezing and crashing without giving an error
this happens on a custom map my brother made.
I wanted to ask if is this a known issue ( or it is a problem in this specific map)
what can be done to solve this?
2. apart from this I encountered difficulties when connecting to the internet.
I think it has to do with the definitions of my router, but how can I test this?
thanks a lot

Re: Random game crash
Hi.
1. What size is the map your brother created? If it's 1000x1000 then the crashes are normal. The "stable" max size should be 500x500.
Does it crash in the other, normal games too? If yes, then it could be a damaged UP1.5 minor update. In this case, simply re-download the patch from https://ee2.eu/patch
2. What do you mean by "connecting to the Internet"? Do you mean you're trying to join your brother's game hosted on the lobby, or you can't log-in to the lobby at all? If the first one, try to forward port UDP 26000 in your router settings to your local IP address. Every router has a different administrator panel, so you need to google: "Router Name + port forwarding" and read some tutorial on google.

Re: Random game crash
thanks for your replay
I downloaded the latest patch, I hope this fixes things.
about online play. I can enter the lobby but cannot connect to the game my brother hosts, nor he can connect to the game I host. get an error the game has been closed or has no free slots. I suspect firewall issues.
I'm uploading the map to the site. it is very good, balanced and tested.

Re: Random game crash
If you can't connect with your brother, then it's port forwarding issue, or the firewall is blocking EE2. However, if you're using UP1.5.5.004+ the ports should be automatically forwarded if your router supports and has enabled uPnP.
Are you and your brother connected to the same local network (router) at home, or you live somewhere else?

Re: Random game crash
When we are together we simply play LAN and this works great. The problem is when we are apart.
Even though both router have uPnP enabled I have a port forwarding issue, and I don't know on which side it is. I will try to fiddle with it a bit.
thx for your help anyway.

Please give me the nickname you and your brother use on the lobby, I'll check the upnp log and tell for who it failed.

Re: Random game crash
For Shai it worked fine.
For Ori it worked fine too.
So basically ports should be forwarded. Make sure some firewall or antivirus is not blocking game processess. Most of "joining" problems happen for mobile Internet users (LTE, 3G), because then ISP is blocking almost all ports. Do any of you use a mobile Internet?
