Uninstall EE4 problem

Post by Darid »

Hello,

I'm french, I have used "ee2_update_100-140_152(1)" and it was running well but i want to see "Empire Earth IV v9.02 eng", with this one, i can launch the game but i can't play with any value. When i want to uninstall EE4, it runs first and stop on a message like "some parts can't be uninstall, do it manualy".

After, impossible to play EE2x, it ask for mss32.dll, I find one in a saved copy of EE2 original and copy it, so it ask for binkw32.dll, i do the same, and i can lauch the game but it crash before the menu, with the same kind of error that with EE4.

I try to re-install EE2 but I can't do it, it says that windows try to install an older version (EE2 1.20.000 by EE2 1.02)

The EE4 uninstaler say that somethings is staying and the game with EE2 last updated say something is missing, what can I do ?

Thanks for idea, solution, miracle Image

Hi.
First try this "Install FIX": http://forum.ee2.eu/t1632-ee2-install-fix-the-setup-has-detected-that-version-120000-of-empire-earth-ii-is-already-installed

After that reinstall Empire Earth II to a new folder (for example: D:/Games/Empire Earth II). After that install unofficial patch 1.5 ( http://forum.ee2.eu/t1723-ee2-1.5 ), to the folder where you installed EE2.
If you want to play EE4 mod - install it to a different folder (not the one with EE2), and then paste UP1.5 for Developers ( http://forum.ee2.eu/t1731-development-diary-ee2-ee2x-unofficial-patch-15-a-version-of-up15-for-modders ) - this version works with the other EE2 mods.
