Playing EE2 for Free?

I got my new laptop and I wanted to see first off if its even possible to download this actual game off the interenet. I have 2 cd keys so I'm sure I could get it to work if there was such a site. Then I could download the 1.3 patch but anyways, if that DOESNT work, could I go to my crappy laptop, put the installed game on a usb port, then uninstall it on my crappy laptop, take the usb port with the game on there, and put it on here, drag and copy to my desktop and reinstall it? THE REASON for having to go through all of this is because this laptop doesnt have a disk drive and I'm not buying one. So if neither of these works, I'm returning this laptop in order for something that has a disk drive.

Well... I'm not good at selecting computers, you should talk to Goober.
But for sure 400$ isn't enough for a good laptop. You need minimum 900$ if you want to play EE2 without laggs on it.

My current laptop cost $399, and it runs ee2 lag free:p. I just choose to run everything on graphics on minimum, even though it can run it on medium easily without much lag in a good game (it's an old habit). It is one of the Toshiba Satelllite series, i3 processor (you should shoot for an i5 or i7 if you can), but the graphics are integrated. However, even though they are integrated, they are decent. I am able to run Shogun 2 total war with textures and models on high, but the rest on low/ medium.

I can't belive that laptop for $399 can run EE2 lagfree.

And EE2 still doesn't run very well... I can play on highest setts, but in big games it still laggs sometimes.

It all depends where you buy it and if you buy it used or refurbished. I got mine at a store called, I think, Microcenter in Boston. I am not sure just how large the chain is, but they sell anything and everything laptop. I just quickly looked on bestbuy, and I found my same laptop but for about $470 dollars. My advice for you is to look through all of bestbuys laptops, staples, etc., other not quite as mainstream stores, and buy a laptop by your criteria. You want atleast an i3 processor.
