I have adapted the names of the objectives, because Mad Doc recommended that the names of the objectives should be as categorical as possible, i.e. assigned to a campaign or a group of missions. I'll have a look when I get a chance. But it looks like the script has changed and is no longer compatible with the .ddf file for the mission.

Easy to install. The EE4 mod is nicely illegal and does not need EE2 pre-installed.

I don't know exactly what you mean? Do you mean an "Earth" mode like in EE3? Something like that is not feasible in terms of moding.

The difference between the space of EE1 and EE2 is that I can only recreate it with a few graphics and there are no spaceships and no space age in EE2 itself.
